Resident Evil 6 is a quite hard game to put a verdict on. It certainly has quite a bad reputation, and while some of it is likely due to how far it's strayed from the Resident Evil roots if you look at it as a second trilogy (4-6) it makes the evolution make a lot more sense.
Lastly, the final reason I really loved this Resident Evil movie was because I actually sympathized with the antagonist. The character’s name is Dylan Blake, and he used to work for the Umbrella
The weapons lacked variety and there was no balance. Each gun was straight up better than the previous. RE4's weapons gave it such a good replay value. The combat is bad by series standard. Enemies just don't react to getting shot and there is no solid flow or intelligent design to most of the encounters in the game.
Resident evil 6 hate. I don’t really understand the hate for resident evil 6 as I thought it was actually a pretty good game and I fairly enjoyed it. Too much over the top action for my taste. No horror, no tension. Just action set piece after action set piece. To me, the control scheme in RE6 was really a step up, even if the classic Capcom akwardness still remains partially.
